Data protection information

We would like to inform you about the purpose, nature and scope of the capturing, processing and use of personal data on our websites.

When our websites are visited, data is captured, processed and used, and it cannot always be excluded that some of this data is personal. To display the pages of the website in your browser, the IP address must be captured and stored. Usually, IP addresses are currently dynamically issued by your provider. The address usually changes regularly, which means we cannot correlate the IP address with any particular person. In the case of static IP addresses, however, it is theoretically possible in individual cases for this data to be correlated with someone personally.

In detail, the following dataset is stored every time someone accesses the website:

  • IP address of the accessing computer
  • Operating system of the accessing computer
  • Browser version of the accessing computer
  • Name of the accessed file
  • Date and time of the access
  • Volume of data transferred
  • Referring URL

The data which is stored is only used for statistical purposes and not to create a correlation with a specific person. The data is also used on occasions to enable errors to be rectified. IP addresses are erased after 7 days at most.

We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text information elements which are stored on your hard disk. The cookies are required to enable specific functions of the service. You are able to suppress the setting of cookies by making the appropriate setting in your browser. However, we would like to point out that the use of our websites may then only be possible in a restricted way. Cookies do not install or start any programs or any other applications on your computer.

Web analysis & cookies

To help the user-oriented design of our website, we use the Google Analytics web analysis tool from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies: these are text files which are stored on your computer, and which enable an analysis of the use of the website. The information generated by the cookie on your use of this website (including your IP address) is transferred to a Google server in the USA where it is stored. For this purpose, we use the “anonymizeIp()” script which ensures that your IP address is immediately anonymised by Google (after carrying out geo localisation).

Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on the website activities for the website operator, and to provide other services associated with the use of the website and use of the internet. These reports can also contain demographic features. It is also possible that Google may transfer this information to third parties if this is permitted by legislation, or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google.
Google will never associate your IP address with other data held by Google. You can prevent the installation of cookies by making the appropriate settings in your browser software. We would like to point out, however, that this may prevent you in some cases from using all of the functions of the website to the full extent. In addition, Google also offers deactivation tools for some internet browsers so that you can prevent the recording and analysis of your user behaviour. More information on this tool and download options are available here:;

Right of appeal in the sense of Section 15 (3) German Telemedia Act (TMG):

You can prevent the analysis of your user behaviour if you block the setting of cookies in your browser by using this domain (, by, e.g., setting up an exception in your browser (for instance in the Firefox browser). If required, please look at the program help to show you how you can set this up in your browser. You can naturally also erase the aforementioned cookies in your browser periodically or in specific cases, to erase the tracking information.
